Off Ice Training at Highland

Off-Ice Classes

For summer classes see the Skater Development Program.

All off-ice classes are located in the upstairs dance hall at Highland.

Classes are open to skaters and non-skaters of all ages and abilities.

Stretch Class

Instructor: Corrie Martin

Saturdays, 9:00am to 9:50am, September to June

Class begins September 16th and runs through December 9th. There will be no classes on Oct 14th or Dec 9th.

Corrie is a spin and choreography specialist and is pre-certified in gyrotonics. She uses yoga and gyrotonic techniques to help maximize each person’s individual flexibility.

All ages and abilities are welcomed. Please bring a yoga mat.

Drop in classes are $10. 20 sessions are $170.

Blue’s Strength & Conditioning Class

Saturdays, 1:30pm to 2:30pm, September to June

Drop-in $16.50 per week, or purchase a package of 10 for $130

Instructor: Blue Stiley

Blue is a certified personal trainer who believes in using your own body weight to achieve a healthier lifestyle through change that is long-term, safe, and efficient.

All ages and abilities are welcomed. Please bring sturdy athletic shoes and a water bottle.

Individual personal training sessions may be scheduled through www.shadowfitness.com.

Ballet, Private and Semi-Private Lessons

Instructor: Marco Carrabba

These lessons focus on teaching skaters the fundamentals of alignment and classical movement, as well as building core strength and flexibility. Marco has more than 20 years of experience as a dancer and over 18 years of teaching and choreography experience with ballet dancers of all levels.
